Our clinic is a teaching, learning and research facility where students get clinical experience in diagnosis and client management. All La Trobe students receive a free initial consultation. We have been an accredited Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace since 2010 and continue to provide a breastfeeding friendly environment, with breastfeeding or parenting rooms to support mothers.

Our rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, sink, table and chair or bed to meet the needs of student and staff mothers continuing their work or study while breastfeeding at the Melbourne, Bendigo, Albury-Wodonga and Mildura Campuses.

Facilities are also available on request at the Shepparton and City Campuses with plans underway to establish dedicated facilities on these campuses.

Community Children’s Centre

The Centre's services include: all day care, kindergarten, sessional care and support to children aged zero to six years with autism spectrum disorders.The Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 6.15pm.

Muslim prayer facilities

La Trobe University has separate prayer rooms and ablution facilities for men and women. Congregational prayers are conducted Friday lunchtimes in the brothers' and sisters' prayer rooms (Education 2 Building). The facilities are kept locked, so before your first visit, email the La Trobe University Islamic Society to get the security code. There are also two mosques located close to the Melbourne campus, in Heidelberg and Preston.

The Chaplaincy at Bendigo is a unique Multifaith team, who offer a welcoming Drop In Centre for students and staff on campus regardless of age, culture or religious background. The chaplaincy team, working in collaboration with the Student Support Services staff, provide:

Lockers

Bike lockers, bike racks and showers

Fifty-six bike lockers are available in five areas of the campus and are free to hire for Bendigo Student Association Platinum Members or $10 per year for others. A refundable $50 lock deposit also applies. Shower facilities are also provided on campus. View the Bendigo bicycle locker and shower location map [PDF 1.6MB].

A brand new bike storage facility has been built under the Education Building with secure swipe-card access, bike parking, CCTV and showers. There are also a number of bike racks available for students and staff who choose to cycle to the University.

Lockers and powered lockers

There are 128 lockers available in the Student Union for student use. The lockers are provided free of charge, however students must bring their own padlock or purchase a suitable padlock from Runes. Lockers are cleared daily by campus security staff. Information about lost property can be obtained from campus security on 0418 510 010. Powered lockers are also available on campus.

A fully equipped kitchen is available for all students. Located on Level 1 outside the Lecture Theatre, the kitchen has two large fridges, freezers, microwaves and filtered hot/cold water. Students are welcome to use these facilities at any time during Campus opening hours..

There are also many coffee shops and cafes next to the Campus and snacks can be purchased from vending machines on Level 1.
