New ticketless parking system coming to Bendigo in 2020

In 2020, the Bendigo Campus will be moving to new ticketless parking system. The new system includes online ‘virtual’ permits for staff and students, called vPermit, and two different options for casual parking; CellOPark Pay-As-You-Go or Pay-by-Plate Parking Meters.

The new parking system means:

  • Staff and students can purchase parking permits online, quickly and easily
  • More flexible permit types and payment options, including salary deduction
  • You can manage your parking online
  • No more windscreen stickers, paper tickets, filling in manual forms or queuing at ticket machines!

2019 permits will remain valid until 29 February 2020. After this date, you will need to hold a valid 2020 vPermit. You can purchase your new vPermit any time from 1 January 2020.

For more information on the new ticketless system, including Frequently Asked Questions, visit Fees and Permits.

Permit Parking

vPermits or virtual permits are recommended for full-time and part-time staff and students parking regularly.

Annual and 6 month permits are available for staff and students.

Visit vPermit for more information and how to apply.

Casual Parking

For hourly or daily parking, pay-as-you-go using our ticketless parking options. These are suited to staff, students or visitors parking casually.

CellOPark Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) is an easy alternative to parking meters which allows you to pay via an app, phone or online - only pay for the time you park.

Pay-by-Plate parking meters are a ticketless system using your vehicle registration - pay hourly or daily.

Parking for people with a disability

All car parks have spaces available for people with a disability. To use a parking bay reserved for people with disabilities, a valid parking permit for people with a disability must be displayed.

Motorcycle Parking

Motorcycles may also be parked in any general (white) car parking bays with the purchase of a valid parking permit.

There are a number of facilities and options for bicycle parking and storage.

Service Permit Applications

The University issues service parking permits to externally based service contractors who require access to car parking spaces to undertake services as engaged by the University. Service permits are available through vPermit.
