Subject outline
This subject provides students with an opportunity to undertake a significant piece of individual planning practice related research and strategy development work with guidance from academic staff. The subject is typically offered in the final semester of the four-year planning degree and requires students to reflect on practice and ethics issues in planning through the development and completion of a project that will include research in the areas of planning, community development and policy assessment. Projects may include original research, strategy development and policy review, as approved by the subject co-ordinator. The subject will involve participation in seminars as well as independent research activities.

Four 3.00 hours block mode other recurrence on weekdays during the day from week 31 to week 43 and delivered via blended.
Supervisor ConsultationWeek: 31 - 43
Six 1.00 hour supervisor consultation every two weeks on weekdays during the day from week 31 to week 43 and delivered via face-to-face.
Students will be assigned a supervisor at the beginning of semester and must make arrangements to discuss their research with their supervisor on a fortnightly basis.
