Subject outline
This subject will equip you with the theoretical support for your application of clinical skills throughout the year. Through a series of online interactive modules you will extend your knowledge base in each discipline area within dentistry - periodontics, endodontics, oral medicine, oral surgery, removable prosthodontics, paedodontics, orthodontics, extra-oral dental radiography and special needs. These online modules will be supplemented and supported by dental specialty clinics in selected discipline areas during your clinical placement. You will also participate in a one week 'Back to Base' conference on-campus, which will focus on the interdisciplinary approach to treatment planning and patient management as well as more specific discipline-focused learning activities.
