NETWORKS, SYSTEMS AND WEB SECURITY

CSE5NSW

2020

Credit points: 15

Subject outline

This subject provides an overview of security attacks on system and network services and discusses different security mechanisms. The main focus of the subject is cryptography and its application in systems, networks and web security. You will learn about cryptographic algorithms and protocols, and the underlying network security applications. Intrusion detection systems and firewalls will be explored and you will learn how to use the cryptographic algorithms and security protocols that provide network and internet security.
