Subject outline

The Hallmarks of Leadership will introduce students to undergraduate research methodologies while also critically exploring concepts of leadership and sustainability. Students will research different models of leadership and will be encouraged to develop projects around sustainable leadership that has relevance to students' own lives and interests. In the process of learning about leadership, students will trial common research methods, and search for and critically assess information. Throughout the subject, students will have opportunities to learn more about the research undertaken at La Trobe and meet and greet with established and emerging leaders in the university. While familiarising students with the basics of research(ing) in an academic and non-academic context, this subject also introduces students to a range of transferable skills that will help them adapt to the university environment.
