Subject outline
In this subject you will complete 140 hours of professional placement within an approved health organisation. These hours will contribute to the requirements for registration as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sports Science Australia. You will need to prove your professional skills, including communication and patient assessment. You will demonstrate your independent clinical exercise prescription skills under minimal supervision from appropriately qualified and experienced clinicians working in arange of healthcare settings.In this subject you will refine and finalize your skills and knowledge necessary for competent practice. This subject will prepare you for graduate practice; you will create your professional portfolio and prepare a cover letter for a job application. A practical competency exam (simulated patient exam) is an important part of this subject.
