Subject outline

This subject provides students with foundational knowledge required to read and understand educational research and to use and conduct appropriate research in the classroom to inform professional practice. Students develop understanding about the theories and practice associated with teachers as researchers and the role of the research in educational practice. The focus is on research skill development in the key areas of critquing educational research, developing an appropriate proposal as well as research design and collecting and analyzing data. These skills are fundamental to the case study research of professional teaching practice in EDU5TRP
