Subject outline
The Video Elective provides students with relevant video production skills and a conceptual and historical framework for sound and video within contemporary artpractice. The course focuses on the extension of students' artistic vocabulary and understanding of contemporary video art in relation to their own area of research. Students will experiment with arange of techniques, equipment, presentational modes and conceptual approaches to the moving image through a class exercises and independent research by students in response to assignment tasks.
