Subject outline

The Studio Practice subjects in first year introduce students to creative thinking and a range of mediums and methods, which will form the basis of their studio practice and investigations throughout the course. In this subject students will develop creative, critical and thinking skills by working on a range of short intensive projects, which will be complemented by lectures, workshops and critique sessions. The subject will encourage experimentation and developan understanding of multi-disciplinary and hybrid art practices. Thinking creatively and conceptually and producing creative work in response to this is the focus of the skills and concept development in this second semester subject.
