Subject outline

This subject introduces you to photography as a means of documenting facts and telling stories. Practical instruction in the use of DSLR cameras & photoshop. Exclusive recorded interviews with world-class practicing photojournalists, augment learning in the conceptual and aesthetic aspects of the genre. Practical assignments enhance your ability to understand, and creatively use photographic and digital imagery and image-making as a means of expression of ideas and transfer of knowledge. Six Units are offered every semester. You must have access to Photoshop CS3,4,5 etc. Photoshop Elements is acceptable but NOT desirable. A DSLR camera using a memory card is mandatory.
