Subject outline
In this subject, students will develop their health information practice knowledge and skills through engagment in supervised professional practice placements in healthcare and related agencies across the whole-of-health. The purpose of the subject is to enable students to apply theoretical knowledge to practice, and to consolidate learnings from previous professional practice placements. Students will complete 30 days at a placement agency/agencies. They will participate in assessment during the semester including an investigative report, placement conference, and placement journal including a reflective practice comment. Regular contact with University supervisors is maintained during and after placements via telephone, email and on-site visits.
