The University of Barcelona (UB) is the most formidable public institution of higher education in Catalonia, catering to the needs of the greatest number of students and delivering the broadest and most comprehensive offering in higher educational courses. The UB is also the principal centre of university research in Spain and has become a European benchmark for research activity, both in terms of the number of research programmes it conducts and the excellence these have achieved. Special conditions/comments

Master students: Contact La Trobe Abroad first, the University of Barcelona course coordinator has to approve Master exchange student before you can start the credit application process. Students are to look up the names of Master Level subjects on the University of Barcelona website and send a list of at least 30 ECTS subjects in total to the Europe coordinator to start this process. After UB approves, the student can commence with their credit approval process. . Please note that most subjects are taught in Spanish/Catalan, so proof of language level may be required. Students must double check the language and study level of the subjects before applying.
