Research Project B is a capstone subject which, together with the first semester subject Research Project in Psychology A (PSY3RPA), brings together, reinforces, extends, and illustrates applications of research themes dealt with in first, second, and third year of the Bachelor of Psychological Science, including PSY3RPA. Students will use innovative technologies to undertake and report a group research project, under supervision of an experienced project leader. They will also prepare for transition to a future career by reflecting on what it means to be a graduate of the course as they research career opportunities and develop core graduate skills.

Prerequisites Must be admitted in one of the following courses: SHP, SBPS, SBBS, BVBBSW, SBPSW, SZCYPS, SZPSOT, LWLBS, LWLPS, SBPSB, RBBS, LWLPY, LWLPYB, SHPYB, SHPYW, LZCPY, LZCPYB and must have passed [PSY1HPM and PSY2PRM] and three of the following subjects [PSY2ACH, PSY2DEV, PSY2COG or PSY2SOC]

01. Understand and evaluate key historical and theoretical features of a major area of psychological research.
- Activities:
- Formative: Tutorial exercises, class discussions and presentations. Summative: The requirements to demonstrate understanding and evaluation of material covered are included in the marking criteria for the small group poster presentation, research report write-up, and classwork exercises. The online quizzes also assess understanding of the material studied.

02. Demonstrate independent learning and application of knowledge by researching and writing-up reports on psychological topics.
- Activities:
- Formative: Tutorial exercises, class discussions and presentations. Summative: The requirements to demonstrate independent learning and application of knowledge are included in the marking criteria for the written work for this subject.
