This subject addresses La Trobe's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Essential. Innovation and Entrepreneurship is about using your creativity to generate new ideas, understand and solve complex problems and thrive in a fast-changing world.

Subject outline

This subject investigates and analyses the ways in which the arts and media engage in the production and representation of space, whether that be through pictorial, photographic, filmic, architectural means, or, inthe digital world, as in satellite imaging, virtual and cyberspaces. The subject will draw ideas and conceptsabout space from a number of critical and theoretical disciplines, among them:phenomenology, psychology, cartography, social anthropology. The conceptualideas around space will be extended by fieldwork, critical research andcreative projects. This subject addresses La Trobe's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Essential. Innovation and Entrepreneurship entails developing the ability to tackle problemscreatively, generating new ideas, taking calculated risks and creating changeto achieve ambitions # now and in the future.
