Students engage in a supervised field placement in an organisation or agency with relevance to applying psychology-related knowledge and skills. Students have the opportunity to observe and engage in activities which assist them to learn about how professionals in related fields work and apply skills. They reflect on the professional, organisational, and ethical issues relevant to the workplace setting as well as the career skills they obtain while on the placement. The placement, and associated orientation activities, online activities and assessment materials, and assignments focus on students' learning. Students reflect on specific intended learning outcomes related to professional practice.

Special conditions Must have successfully completed 180 cps & have completed or be completing 2nd semester core subjects PSY2SOC, PSY2DEV,PSY2ACH. Students will need to be accepted into a placement; this process normally involves submtting an application & an interview at the placement site. Placements require current Police Check & Working with Children check & where indicated a current & valid drivers licence.

Enrolment information Enrolment is limited to students who have successfully obtained a placement at a fieldwork location approved by the subject coordinator. Students must apply to an approved field placement, which will normally include submitting a resume and cover letter, and having an interview with a placement supervisor. Depending on the placement, obtaining a fieldwork placement may also include fulfilling requirements, such as current national police check, Working with Children Check, drivers licence, or Australian residency. Subject coordinator will oversee this process.

Class requirements
Seminar
One 5.0 hours seminar per study period on weekdays during the day and delivered via face-to-face.
"Students will complete 150 hours (3 to 4 days per week) on a relevant field placement (organised by the School of Psychological Science). A series of online modules and learning activities prior to the placement will also be required."
