Subject outline

This subject aims to equip students with a basic knowledge of grape growing, wine making and the marketing of wine (especially from the cellar door). The subject will place a particular emphasis on the role of tourism and the winery. It will focus on the special requirements of cellar door sales and integrate these with a retail management and regional tourism perspective giving students the competence, confidence and customer service skills to promote the Australian wine industry. This subject contains wine tasting and trips to wineries.
