Subject outline

Human services organisations are broadly defined as providing services to meet the needs of people. These include health, welfare and education services. In this subject students will learn about the human services sector, its history, purpose and current structure. Using contemporary organisational examples, students will examine how services are developed and funded through policy and planning processes. Students will develop a beginning knowledge in professional values, ethics and quality service standards.
