Subject outline
In this subject students develop contacts with and work in the media, journalism and communications and related industries with a specific organisation. These organisations will include but not be limited to sporting clubs or media outlets that publish sport. Students develop skills in accessing these networked industries from the perspective of an industry-ready future employee and undertake an in-depth experience of work as an emerging professional in the media and related fields. Students develop an understanding of issues internal to the organisation such as its goals, structure, management style and work practices. In addition, they acquire an understanding of the organisation relationships to clients, audiences and other elements of the media, communications and persuasive professions.
