Subject outline
In this subject, students will build on their foundation knowledge about research design, statistics and evidence based practice. Students will apply their knowledge to designing and writing a research protocol. Students design a robust, feasible study that may be implemented and then written up as a thesis in HCS5HDA, HCS5HDB (following year). Students gain practical experience of designing and presenting a novel research study, under close supervision of an academic staff member. Students also develop skills in structuring a logical argument, writing clearly and analysing data and in the oral presentation of a research proposal.
