This subject addresses La Trobe's Global Citizenship Essential. Global Citizenship is about learning to live in an interconnected world, including the social, environmental, political and economic challenges this brings.

Subject outline

The aim in this subject is to present an overview of key issues involved in research including critical reading and consumption of research. Students are also introduced to the theory, paradigm, methodology and differing approaches to research. Students will also choose to either a) develop a proposed study design (for those planning to undertake a minor thesis) or b) conduct a small action research project.
