You've received an offer – now it's time to secure your place and enrol at La Trobe. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Follow the steps below to accept your offer and enrol in your course if you’re an international student.

If you’re a domestic student or if you’re studying at one of La Trobe’s offshore partners, follow our domestic student enrolment steps.

Once you have accepted your offer, come back and complete the rest of the steps on this page.

After you’ve accepted your offer, we’ll activate your La Trobe student account within three months of classes starting. Once your account is active, you’ll need to set your password.

We’ll email your temporary La Trobe login details from studentaccountactivation@latrobe.edu.au to the email address you used for your application. If you don’t receive this email, contact Student IT Support.

Once you receive your login details, go to the password portal to create your new password.

You need to complete all tasks listed as mandatory in the My Tasks tile so you can enrol into subjects. By completing these tasks, you’ll accept all terms and conditions of your study and confirm your details as required by La Trobe and the Australian Government.

If there are any incomplete tasks, you won't be able to enrol and secure your place.

Now it’s time to enrol in subjects for your first study period! Make sure you check your study requirements as an international student and keep these in mind when you choose subjects.

A full-time study load is 4 subjects (60 credit points) per semester or 2 subjects (30 credit points) per term. As an international student, you must maintain a full-time study load to complete your course within the timeframe specified in your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) and visa conditions.

How to enrol

Enrol via StudentOnLine, follow these steps to enrol FAQ. You must enrol in and complete our compulsory modules during your first study period.

If you change your mind, you can change your enrolment later.

Credit for prior study

If you have previous study or work experience, you might be eligible for credit that will reduce the subjects you need to complete. If you didn’t apply for credit as part of your application, you should apply when you accept your offer because applications close before classes start.

If you’re studying on a student visa, there are some important requirements you need to meet to keep your visa valid. Make sure you understand these to ensure a smooth transition to your studies.

Understand your visa

When you accepted your offer, you paid tuition fees for your first study period. From now on, you'll receive an invoice (Statement of Account) each time you enrol or make changes to your enrolment. Your Statement of Account confirms your fees and explains how to pay them.

Changes to your study load will affect your course fees. You can estimate the total cost based on the annual fee but note that fees may change yearly.
