Student organisations
La Trobe has two student organisations that are here to make your uni life better: the La Trobe Student Association (LTSA) and the La Trobe Student Union (LTSU).
Funded by the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), these organisations run events, represent your voice and offer support – no matter which campus you call home.

La Trobe Student Association (LTSA)

The LTSA supports students at our Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, City, Mildura and Shepparton campuses, as well as all international students.
What does the LTSA do?
LTSA is governed by an elected student Governing Board of Directors. All LTSA Student Council representatives receive governance training, ongoing support, guidance and mentorship. The Student Councils set the direction of LTSA and help decide how your SSAF money is spent.
LTSA provides a wide range of events to suit every student. LTSA work with local event providers to offer social nights, parties and day trips, as well as celebrations for key calendar events like Pride Week and NAIDOC Week.
LTSA values the contributions of La Trobe’s diverse and culturally rich international student population and the unique perspectives they bring to university life. LTSA understands the challenges and opportunities international students face and has a dedicated team member focused on creating, fostering and enhancing the international student experience, as well as offering a range of services to make your time at La Trobe successful, enjoyable and inclusive.
La Trobe Student Union (LTSU)

The LTSU supports students at our Melbourne (Bundoora) campus. Student representation has been part of La Trobe since the University began, with the first Student Representative Council (SRC) formed in July 1967 and the Student Union established in 1971.
What does the LTSU do?
The LTSU works to make your time at uni a positive and rewarding experience. It represents students, promotes their interests and welfare, organises fun activities and provides essential services for the student community.
