Subject outline
In this subject, students will explore the role of assistive technology within the disability sector and the importance of a user focused centred approach. Principles of user centred design and engagement will be presented with a focus on effective assistive technology delivery, including the broader context and principles of disability funding and the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Students will engage with a range of assistive technology and user groups within the disability context to develop an insightful understanding of the priorities and goals of people living with disability.
