Subject outline

In this subject students will draw on their experiences in their first placement to reflect upon the purpose of social work, its knowledge values and skills and how they integrate these into practice competencies. They will apply critical analysis to explore and develop knowledge about the issues they are facing in placement and the knowledge and skills they need to apply to address these issues and where appropriate undertake interventions. Students will also explore their own learning styles and how they approach learning in the field placement. Students will be expected to identify their learning needs for final year.
