The subject examines how aspects of health in later life can be improved at an individual, program and societal level, and adopts a life span and bio-psycho-social approach. Students examine various domains that influence the wellbeing and quality of life of older persons. Topics include health promotion; housing and other resources; social engagement and activity; mobility, transport and the environment; intimacy and sexuality; faith and spirituality, loss and grief; and end-of-life issues.
