PLEASE NOTE: A standard placement is a 5 days per week, 70 day block placement. Non-Standard Placements of 3 or 4 days per week will only be considered where the student can show there are circumstances which meet the ASWEAS (2012) guidelines which state “…serious health, illness, or disability issues which a full 5 day per week block placement is likely to lead to more impaired health or is simply untenable due to the nature of the disability” AASW (2012) Guidelines 1.2:3).

Please provide reasons for your request including a medical certificate and/or other supporting documentation. Please note that the University is committed to supporting students with a disability and/or significant health issues. Students are therefore encouraged to consider contacting the Accessibility team who may be able to provide support and advice to enable successful course completion.

PLEASE NOTE: Students need to complete InPlace database for a local placement and indicate they are applying for an overseas placement. Overseas placement applications will be considered and approved by the International Applications Coordinator.
