In this subject you will explore oral pathology and clinical oral medicine topics including: history and diagnosis; infection; oral mucosal disease; white, red and discoloured lesions; swellings; salivary gland disorders; oral ulceration; orofacial pain; oral pre-cancer and cancer; osseous lesions including odontogenic tumours and odontogenic cysts; oral manifestations of systemic disease; soft tissue neoplasms; vesiculobullous lesions; medications in dentistry; and biopsy and laboratory techniques.

01. Analyse and apply the basic concept of oral pathology and differentiate between normal and pathologic oral tissues.
02. Analyse and apply the epidemiology, aetiology, pathogenesis, investigation, and prognosis of oro-facial diseases and classify the severity of disease according to the current standards.
03. Determine the provisional clinical diagnosis through analysis and identify common differential diagnoses for orofacial lesions at radiological and histological level including the clinicopathological correlation aspects.
