Subject outline

In this subject students will develop foundation client assessment skills. Students will develop an understanding of the risks associated with a range of exercises and strategies to minimise risk for clients. Students will be introduced to a range of assessment procedures and equipment used to conduct safe sports and exercise-related assessments. Students will explore the influence of physical activity, exercise and nutritional practices on obesity and other chronic health conditions. The influence of the basic stages of growth and development across the lifespan on exercise delivery will be considered.
