Subject outline

In this subject students examine and analyse records of serious incidents in outdoor environments with youth, and develop a clear understanding of how deaths and serious injury can be prevented. They apply lessons learned from serious incidents to existing safety plans and protocols, and critically examine the applicability of safety management approaches developed in other fields to outdoor leadership with youth.
