In this subject students will complete a total of 60 credit points (NSG4NTA & NSG4NTB) in order to successfully complete the thesis component of Honours. Students are required to undertake a nursing research project associated with one of the research interests of the school or discipline, under the guidance of a supervisor. Students are required to attend regular research seminars designed to provide peer and academic support and guidance. Regular contact with the project supervisor is required.

01. Demonstrate advanced theoretical and applied knowledge of a specialist nursing tpoic.
- Activities:
- Regular communication via face to face meetings, email or telephone with supervisors to refine the research question and methodology. Demonstrate progress in development of recruitment strategies leading to recruiting and consenting participants.
02. Critically examine, analyse and synthesize knowledge relevant to research questions in professional practice.
- Activities:
- Evidence of effective communication between student and supervisors to ensure access to any resources or training required to undertake appropriate analysis of data.
03. Synthesize critical evaluations and analyses for the professional application of research and nursing principles in planning research studies.
- Activities:
- Regular communication and planning should be evident by a progressive compilation of the student's thesis outline and confidence in writing.
