Subject outline

In this subject students will explore and examine the influence of research and evolving nursing knowledge on clinical practice and professional roles and be introduced to frameworks for analysing selected contemporary issues and trends in health care that will shape future nursing practice. Through the process of critical thinking, reflection, journaling, classroom lectures and seminar presentations students will: analyse contemporary issues; identify the implications of these issues for nursing education; analyse current nursing therapeutic regimens; and explore options for effecting improvement in quality nursing practice. The subject's modular structure allows a choice of topics in different learning contexts.

Activities:
