Subject outline
in this subject you study professional and creative writers in action. You participate in a regional writers festival. There are three phases within this subject: the pre-event phase where the students are introduced to key concepts, topics and skills. You are supported in devising your project and preparing to engage with the writers festival and guest writers. you will have an immersion experience where you attend the festival with a specific program of activities in mind to support your project. Post-event you complete your project using the information and experience gained through the event. This block mode subject occurs over 5 days, including attendance at a writers festival (including weekend). Festival dates and sites change from year to year, so students should consult with the subject coordinator and check the Handbook for further updates. https://www.latrobe.edu.au/short-courses/place-based-subjec ts/writers-in-action< /span>
