In this subject students will examine the effects of hazardous substances on humans. The principles of screening, monitoring and control of chemical, biological and radiation hazards in the workplace, as relevant to OH&S professionals, will be explored. This information is presented within risk management and OH&S systems frameworks. This subject utilises online learning through LMS.

03. Utilise and integrate complex theoretical knowledge for evaluation of the risks associated with a selection of the following on workplace populations: common chemicals, biological and radiation hazards.

04. Critically analyse, synthesize and communicate in an adaptable and responsive manner, information about screening, monitoring and management issues relevant to common hazardous substances.
