This subject is designed to provide students with an understanding of middle-years literacy and numeracy curriculum and pedagogy. Students develop discipline and professional knowledge associated with literacy and numeracy. The focus is on strategies to engage students in the middle-years, and on using assessment to inform differentiated teaching and learning.

Broaden your quantitative literacy and critically understand the content, processes and skills of the Australian primary mathematics curriculum, in particular, the Content strands of Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, Statistics and Probability, and the Proficiency strands of Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving, and Reasoning.
