2019

Credit points: 5

Subject outline

This subject develops the knowledge and skills required for future study in general university programs including Nursing, Allied Health, Education and Science degrees. It introduces students to the concept of the scientific method as a basis for experimentation and research and to classification systems. Students examine the nervous system, the digestive system, the respiratory system and the circulatory system as well as the related concepts of nutrition and memory and learning. Assessments tasks are based on cumulative development of skills and include online quizzes and two project tasks.
