WIRELESS NETWORK ENGINEERING
CSE3WSX
2019
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
This subject covers the fundamentals of wireless transmission. Students will study various physical layer issues and impairments, and challenges in wireless communication compared with wired communication. In depth analysis will be carried out on CSMA/CA standards; WEP and Dynamic WEP standards and the processes involved for maintaining privacy and confidentiality in wireless network. A brief introduction will be given to Bluetooth and WiMAX technologies.
