AUD5IRA

2019

Credit points: 30

This subject addresses La Trobe's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Essential. Innovation and Entrepreneurship is about using your creativity to generate new ideas, understand and solve complex problems and thrive in a fast-changing world.

Subject outline

Research in audiology is a rapidly progressing field which translates into changes in clinical practice. Audiologists require a strong grasp of how to search for evidence in the literature to inform their own clinical practice. This subject will provide students with the knowledge of how clinical decisions can be based on valid and reliable evidence, with particular reference to a chosen area of interest within the field of audiology. Learning in this subject will be assessed through an individually written thesis and a research project. This subject addresses La Trobe's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Essential. Innovation and Entrepreneurship entails developing the ability to tackle problems creatively, generating new ideas, taking calculated risks and creating change to achieve ambitions - now and in the future.
