Subject outline

In this elective subject for the Bachelor of Creative Arts, we will explore some of the most prominent approaches to expanded spatial practice within contemporary visual art. This subject takes an experimental approach, exploring space in relation to contemporary practice and conceptual art issues involving bodies, social spaces and architecture,and assemblages of found and created objects. Students will be encouraged to experiment widely with mediums and practices, including collaborative,improvisational and sustained individual investigations.
