Subject outline

Drawing 1 covers technical, experimental and conceptual approaches to the processes of perceptual and observational drawing. Methods of drawing and investigating visual systems that relate to both foundational and contemporary art practices will be undertaken through a series of exercises and projects. Students will develop their skills in a range of mediums and techniques and develop their understanding of the role of drawing and its relationship to visual art practices.This practice of drawing is informed by investigations into historical and contemporary drawing practitioners.
