Subject outline
This subject is a clinical practicum in which students are in supervised clinical practice 4 days per week for 5 weeks plus prescribed independent learning (total subject hours 160). Students will undertake this clinical practicum in different healthcare agencies throughout Victoria and Interstate. Clinical practicums are supervised by registered physiotherapists and may be organised outside normal teaching weeks. Students will develop specific competencies in the assessment of clients'/patients' problems and needs, the analysis of assessment findings, the formulation of short and long term goals and the development, implementation and evaluation of intervention plans. Students at this level will apply specialised knowledge, cognitive and technical skills to demonstrate autonomy, expert judgement, adaptability and responsibility as a learner.

Prerequisites: Must have passed PTY4MUP, PTY4NEP, PTY4CAP, PTY4PCP and be enrolled in one of the following courses: HZHSPP, HZHSPB - Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice, HZPHPP, HZPHPB - Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice or HMPYP, HMPTP, HMPTPB, HMPYPB - Master of Physiotherapy Practice.
