Subject outline
The subject examines the growing range of issues associated with Australia's international health relations in the fields of overseas aid, trade, tourism, international cooperation, treaty obligations and climate change. Domestic implications of these international relations are also analyzed. A historical and contemporary overview of key international bodies involved in global health, especially the World Health Organization, is presented. Participants are challenged to crticially analyze the interplay of foreign policy and health.
