Subject outline
Environmental and Natural Resource Law are of increasing relevance for legal practitioners. Students will commence with a consideration of the economic and social factors that continue to shape the law in this area, including the precautionary principle sustainability and regulatory technologies. Students will then examine the operation of environmental law in the domestic context, focusing upon issues such as biodiversity protection, mechanics of environmental impact assessments and the debate surrounding climate change legislation.
