Subject outline
This subject works within the Victorian Curriculum, areas of Technologies include Design and Technology, and Digital Technologies. This subject contributes to the knowledge and skills to integrate STEAM Curriculum into a primary classroom program. PSTs develop innovative and sustainable design skills, knowledge and understanding of good design, planning and development of Design Briefs, whilst nurturing deep learning, creativity and collaboration. PSTs design, present and evaluate an integrated technology and design unit for Primary schools. PSTs use a range of software to develop understandings related to the modern learner's use of Digital Technologies. This subject will be supported by practical activities and tasks, as PSTs examine the methodology, processes, assessment, OH&S issues and diversity of technologies. They apply protocols and legal practices that support safe, ethical, respectful communications and collaboration, based on the Victorian Curriculum design process for primary schools.
