Graduate capabilities & intended learning outcomes
01. Explain fundamental networking concepts
- Activities:
- Online chapters from the prescribed textbook will form the core learning. The online course Cisco R&S Introduction to networks will also provide students with self-paced online learning activities (i.e. quizzes, multimedia learning activities) to reinforce the learning.
02. Implement LAN switching
- Activities:
- Online chapters from the prescribed textbook will form the core learning. The online course Cisco R&S Introduction to networks will also provide students with self-paced online learning activities (i.e. quizzes, multimedia learning activities) to reinforce the learning.
03. Explain fundamental routing concepts
- Activities:
- Online chapters from the prescribed textbook will form the core learning. The online course Cisco R&S Introduction to networks will also provide students with self-paced online learning activities (i.e. quizzes, multimedia learning activities) to reinforce the learning.
04. Compare and contrast routing algorithms
- Activities:
- Online chapters from the prescribed textbook as well as webinars will be used. Online simulations and similar multimedia resources will help to illustrate the concepts.
05. Configure, verify and troubleshoot Cisco devices
- Activities:
- The online course Cisco R&S Introduction to networks will be used to provide students with self-paced online learning activities (i.e. quizzes, multimedia learning activities). The tool Cisco packet tracer will be used to help demonstrate these skills using webinars.
