This subject is a 15 point credit international study tour to Vietnam enabling you to engage in tourism and hospitality management related enterprises. You will critically evaluate tourism, hospitality and event businesses located in Vietnam and reflect on best business practices in a global environment. The subject has the flexibility to be adapted to include contemporary issues in any tourism, hospitality and the events environment. A strong emphasis will be on the cultural, social and environment aspects as a tourist and the impacts of government policy and the legacy of war.

Prerequisites: Must be enrolled in Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Hospitality Management; LBBTH), Bachelor of Business (Event Management, LBBEM) or Bachelor of Business (Event Management/Marketing, LBBEMM). Must accumulate 120 credit points prior to departure. Must be approved by Subject Coordinator.

03. Scrutinize travel offerings, processes and logistics in an international setting based on government policy

Enrolment information: Overseas field trip. Students that are enrolled in Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Hospitality) will get first preference. The rest of the quota will be filled with students that are enrolled in Bachelor of Business (Event Management) or (Event Management/Marketing)

Class requirements
Field TripWeek: 24 - 28
Six 2.0 hours field trip per study period on any day including weekend during the day from week 24 to week 28 and delivered via face-to-face.
"Two classes will be conducted before and after the trip in Melbourne. Four lectures will be in Vietnam at Hanoi University."
