Subject outline
In this subject students examine clinical reasoning and decision making and how they support clinical practice. It explores the development of professional knowledge and the relationship between theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. While theoretical knowledge is traditionally thought to be developed separately from the clinic, this subject examines how theoretical knowledge and clinical practice can inform each other. Literature to support this subjec is drawn from disciplines such as medicine, education and occupational therapy. OCT6CRD is the professional doctorate equivalent of OCT5CRD.
