Subject outline
In this subject students describe, critique and apply principles of assessment, intervention and case management for adults with problems related to their capacity to engage in occupations and roles and to participate in community life. Intervention principles will focus on the use of meaningful occupation. Interventions will be directed towards personal recovery and/or adaption as well as addressing environmental supports and barriers. Students will expand their skills in occupational therapy assessment and intervention strategies. A key competency for this subject is the ability to generate effective assessment and intervention plans for occupational therapy consumers based on sound professional reasoning.
