Subject outline

This subject provides student with an introduction to the Australia health care system and the role of a registered nurse. Students will initially undertake 40 hours of multi-mode delivered theory. In addition, students will undertake a non-acute clinical component of five 8-hour shifts (total of 40 hours), entitled Stage 1 Clinical. During this time students will be afforded the opportunity to engage in the Registered Nurses Division I role in a non-acute environment, in a supernumerary and supported manner.
