Subject outline

Subject to application, students may choose an area of law in consultation with the Program Director as a part of either the Master of Laws or the Master of Laws in Global Business Law. The thesis will take the place of two subjects within the relevant program. With approval, students may enrol in this subject at the beginning of either semester one, semester two or an approved designated summer period and must submit by the end of their enrolled semester/period. The minor thesis requires the design, conduct and reporting of a substantial research based project including a critical review of relevant literature.

Special conditions The minor thesis is designed to introduce flexibility in assessment and to provide students with an opportunity to research a subject area in global business law in depth. Entrance into the course is by application only. Application forms are available from and submitted to the Faculty Student Services Office, Donald Whitehead Building 208. They can also be downloaded from the School's home page

01. Formulate and articulate an extended written argument including a critical review and synthesis of relevant literature and case law using appropriate referencing for an academic or professional context.
